Unique Wedding Reception Idea from weddings-avenue.com

The first step you need to take when planning and organizing a unique wedding reception is to think about what defines you as a couple, what you like and dislike. Investigate your likes and dislikes, your interests and hobbies. This will help unveil your personal style. After discovering your personal style as a couple you can now start to select a theme for the wedding reception.

The theme should totally reflect your style and personality as a couple. Choose a thing that you both like. It could be a hobby you both share, an event you like, a season you adore or a color you love. For example if you both like the color purple, decorate the wedding reception hall with purple elements and ask all your guests to come dressed in purple. A unique wedding reception idea is to choose as a theme a hobby of yours. For example if you both like going to the theater, decorate the reception hall as an old theater. Church Decorating Ideas

The religious ceremony, officiated at a church that you choos is one of the highlights of the wedding. So that the inside of the church might be more special, it can be embellished with floral decorations and an arcade located at the exit of the church would be a great decorative element in your wedding photos. The arcade can be decorated with tulle and white flowers like tulips or imperial lilies.

Every bride wants her decorations to be unique and stick out in the guests minds. The traditional decorations are pearls, lace, candles, crystals, flowers. Accessorizing such a holy place is not easy. The choices you make mustn’t confer with the churches integrity. Though white is the perfect choice, you can go a little crazy with ivory or cream and a colorful touch like colored ribbons for the chairs or the benches, depending on how your church looks like.

Church Decorating Ideas

Church Decorating Ideas from gstatic.com

When choosing the type of flower to decorate the church, you can think also at its meaning and symbolism. For example the tulips symbolism is tied to the perfect love. The white tulips are associated with the royalty. A symbol of purity, white is often used to impersonate the innocence and the angelic side of the bride. Blue is a symbol of water and clarity, purity, safety, peace, loyalty and of the infinite sky itself. Green signifies the nature and the surrounding environment, energy, luck and eternal life. Combined with white designates freshness, tenderness and calamity; that is why this combination is so often used in wedding decorations. Also, red is the color of strength, power, intense emotion and love. Being the color of blood, it also represents life, vitality and sensuality. Yellow means happiness and optimism, and purple is the color of mystery and wisdom.

Suitable for church decorations are also white chrysanthemums, daisies, freesia, white lilies and sunflowers. They symbolize the purity, honesty and innocence that a bride represents on walking down the aisle. Other flowers that complement the feeling of purity are the ones that symbolize the beauty: camellias, cherry blossoms, hibiscus and orchids. No union is complete without the promise of the grooms of dedication, commitment and faith in one another. The blue violets, white clovers and orange blossoms symbolize just that.

So, if you want that your church ceremony flowers to be as symbolic as the blessing that you receive, try combining the flowers color with their symbolism. Cover the seats in white tulle add tie them on the middle with a red bow. This way you will combine the innocence with love. Add by the sides of row you’ll be walking down the aisle to, bouquets of white tulips or imperial lilies. Leave a personal touch by tying the bouquets with strings of beads. They will look original and precious.

Destination Weddings

Weddings have started to borrow increasingly more elements from American weddings. Unfortunately, or happily, depends how we consider it, some of our traditions began to lose ground against new elements that appear to have already become a tradition: throwing the bouquet, throwing the garter, the introduction testimonies that are no longer just cakes and drinks.

One of the new ideas about weddings, recently practiced in our country as well, but which has been practiced in other countries for a long time refers to destination weddings. So many couples prefer now to jump over the traditional wedding and go directly to the fun part, so they choose to “run-away from home” to get married.

In the whole world you’ll find hotels and specialized resorts that organize for you an ad-hoc wedding, having in view even the smallest aspect: the civil status officer, the priest, destination wedding invitations (for “lost” relatives), photo services or music. In the case of this kind of weddings, the two lovers (the witnesses are assured by that location) can decide to be alone or together with many guests, like in the case of a normal wedding but in both cases the wedding will be perceived rather like a special holiday. The truth is that, no matter how good it might sound to get married this way, there are some less pleasant aspects that we should consider as well. For example, if you might have dreamed of a wedding with many guests since childhood in the case of which your father would lead you to the altar in the church that you might have went for years, a destination wedding is not right for you.

Even you could plan sooner the wedding, is very hard to bring such a huge number of guests to your wedding. Even when you might have made your destination wedding invitations on your own, it is still possible to encounter a problem: not all your guests might arrive. There are huge costs for such a wedding, because the groom and the bride usually have to cover guests’ transport and accommodation. Couples that generally appeal to destination weddings are nonconformist couples, delighted by the idea of getting rid of traditional and formal wedding rituals, couples who want to greatly simplify this process. Such resorts, who take care of destination weddings, have wedding coordinators, so the single concern of the bride and groom is to say “I do”. For those who choose a simple wedding with few guests, destination weddings involve lower costs than traditional weddings. Even if you don’t actually take care of the wedding, there are some details you should consider, like the legislation of the country in which you might get married.

You must know whether the papers from that country are valid in your country too, what kind of medical tests you must do if you have to do such things, how’s the weather in that time of the year, where the guests will stay, what opinions you have read about the hotel or about the resort in you are going to organize your wedding. Even if you choose to have a destination wedding, you could till consider at least few important wedding traditions as well.

Odd Wedding Dresses

Middle East is the cradle of several ancient civilizations on Earth, and even though the region had a very troubled history, it is quite interesting that a number of wedding traditions have managed to preserve unspoiled in time.

Middle East is a region with many peoples with different customs and traditions, but despite this fact, many of them have a lot in common. In many parts of the Middle East, the customary wedding ceremony includes five distinctive parties.

The engagement party is the first party in this chain of parties. During this party, the bride and the groom invite family members and close friends to celebrate with them. During the feast, cooked meals are served and singing and dancing is something normal; the party ends up at night. At this party, the bride used to change her clothes five times. Brides from Middle East are very unusual to Europeans; they also have odd wedding dresses, you’ll see that later.
Signing the marriage contract is the second big party from the series.

On this day, the bride and the groom, accompanied by their parents, go to court in order to sign their marriage contract. After that, the bride and the groom invite family members and friends again to their party, where they eat, dance and sing; the bride changes her clothes again five times, during this party.

Hena party is the third party and it helps the new couple avoid all evil and have a happy life. It is the party that they organize a day before the actual wedding. Hena term might seem familiar. Is the paint with that they tattoo the hands and feet of the bride, so she might be protected of evil spirits and gins. This party is also exhausting. In many countries from Middle East the bride and the groom are seated, surrounded by unmarried girls who keep in their hands white blades; two of them break in the couple’s heads sugar snowballs, invoking their God (Allah) to remove all evil from their life. Usually, tradition requires for the bride to wear green clothes and for the party to last till morning.

The next party is the wedding itself, where the bride and groom exchange rings (you must remember that the custom of wearing wedding rings originated in the Middle East). It is the largest of the five parties and her development is similar to previous ones: to keep toasts, dancing and singing, especially songs specific to each country. The bride wears traditional wedding clothes which are nowadays considered odd wedding dresses. It’s unusual for us to see brides wearing something else than white.

Even traditions are common for many peoples or communities from the Middle East, they aren’t universal. Instead, we can say that there is a universal feature common for the whole Middle East and that is the joy of founding a new home, a new family, a new road in life.
